Welcome to our family blog! The hard work of others has finally paid off, and we now have a blog, largely to share the pictures of our littlest one, Avalon! She was born March 10th at 10:58 PM in Grandpa and Grandma Pratt's home (where Lisa and John are staying now). Thanks for visiting!

Pizza Class

pizza4

I taught my last “Healthy Cooking with Your Food Storage” class in November.  This has been a monthly class that I have taught in my church for the women.  We have done lots of fun stuff and our last class was on PIZZA.  Who doesn’t love pizza?  We made some fun gourmet pizzas along with a couple traditional kinds.  We all just brought lots of toppings and then played around with the sauce and toppings.  A sister in my ward even brought some home-made mozzarella and feta cheeses.  We used a %100 whole wheat crust which teaches us how to eat food from our home storage.  It was so yummy!  I think we all left a little over-stuffed.

Farm Country at TGP

tgp6

We took a trip to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point.  Grandma Pratt loves to take the children and they love going.  We rode the ponies, fed the ducks, admired the cows and horses…  It was a beautiful, brisk fall day!  Thanks, Grandma!

Happy Birthday, John!

bday5

Yup.  There’s my handsome husband!  What a guy!  And, he is not turning 4, but 38.  We had some yummy lasagna and some cake.  The family all came.  It was great!

Here he is making a goofy face for the camera….  Make a wish!

Halloween Fun

hallow1

Mary and Michael invited us over on Halloween morning to decorate pumpkin pancakes.  It was such a cute idea and the food was very yummy.  The children (and us adults) had fun making fun faces with the above goodies.  Fantastic.  We decided it should be a “TRADITION!!”  (Think… Fiddler on the Roof.)

As you know, John was  a farmer for Halloween and he decided to grow a little facial hair.  Since this happens so rarely, I had to take a picture.

Oh Ya!

And, here are the boy’s jack-o-lanterns.  It was so fun for them to carve their own pumpkins that they grew.  I made the best pumpkin seeds, too.  Tasty!
